Sam’s Club is another American company which I am going to be reviewing today due to the fact that it has pharmacy department so I would like to make sure that purchasing at this company’s pharmacy is worth using or it would be better to go to another one or to use the online pharmacies services. For this who don’t know, Sam’s Club it is an American retail company, a chain of membership-only retail warehouse clubs that is being both owner and operated by Walmart. This company has been founded in 1983 it has the headquarters now in Bentonville, United States, however it has a total of 660 locations in US as of 2017 and 202 more international locations. It is obvious that this company can be found on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and others. They are offering a mobile application with the help of which they claim to be easier to access whatever you need on the website from your phone. While on Sam’s Club Pharmacy page I’ve seen their offers as: order refills, save on pet meds, becoming their plus member, free health screening, they are offering assistance for different languages and there’s also information suggesting that Sam’s Club it is a NABP approved pharmacy.

There are some things that I am not able to talk about and they include shipping or payment methods since there is no information about them on their website. I can also not talk about the selection of drug or prices for them at Sam’s Club due to the fact that there is no information about any of these. What I do know with certitude is that selection of drugs in such a big pharmaceutical company doesn’t have any problems. It is the prices for them that’s a problem due to the fact that the prices are high. Shipping is surely not done abroad the US and I found that the longest period of delivery time is 7 days. And payment methods are unknown except for the fact that you can pay cash if you go to their store, of course or by paying via credit/ debit card which I assume they should accept.

Hopefully the customer care department is actually helpful.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find anything on their website suggesting that you’re able to save on prescription or any pharmaceutical products. I couldn’t find anything at all like discounts, savings by ordering in bulk, coupon codes, free shipping or free sample pills –nothing at all. I am not sure if this actually means that they do not have anything, maybe calling their customer care department and asking would be a good idea, nevertheless I still think that if there would be something that good they would make sure to share it.

I have a strong feeling that the customer reviews is the most important part of this review and by searching for customer reviews about Sam’s Club I did have found a lot of them which was expectable since this is such a big company. I have found employee reviews as usual from people who either worked or are still working for Sam’s Club, however those aren’t so important, or at least no so important as customer reviews which I did have found a lot of them on a lot of different websites such as consumeraffairs.com, yelp.com, bbb.org, resellerratings.com as well as facebook. The problem is that most of the customer reviews, unfortunately are negative. A lot of people were complaining about Sam’s Club and to be honest it does seems to me that most of the customers are unhappy, or at least it seems that there are more negative reviews than positive. On bbb.org generally it has a single positive review and 68 negative reviews! On both consumeraffairs and resellerratings the average rate based on a few hundred of people who wrote reviews is 1 out of 5! Low rate it got on yelp.com as well with 2.5 rate out of 5. At least some better rates it had on facebook and sitejabber.com with a rate of 3.4 and 3.5 out of 5 and although on facebook and sitejabber.com I managed to find some more positive customer reviews, still a lot of them were negative. People were complaining on a lot of different things starting with big prices, rude employees, ignorant company and many other things like delays, not honest company (since they raise the price and then act as if they have discounts) etc. There are positive reviews and that’s very good with people saying that Sam’s is indeed worth using, but yet, I have found a lot of customer reviews who aren’t positive and this isn’t making me feel comfortable. In addition to that, the prices here for pharmaceutical products are by far not the best especially compared to the prices for medication on online pharmacies.
Conclusion
Sam’s Club is an American retail chain company which is extremely big and has a lot of locations with its parent organization/ company being Walmart, a well known company. Plus to that, Sam’s does seem to have good customer reviews online and this is all very good. But now the big problem is the big number of negative customer reviews and the big prices for pharmaceutical products! These big problems make me rate Sam’s Club with 3 out of 5.
