A while ago I have found a website named shaws.com which I have written a review about. According to the information that I found that was a company which its main activity was oriented in supermarket and grocery store, however they also had pharmacy department. I’ve continued my research further and I have found now jewelosco.com and by entering this website I realized that something is very familiar. When I’ve done a google search for jewel-osco, again, I have been said that this is a supermarket company. Then I realized that Shaws and Jewel-Osco are either run by the same person (same company with different names) or they are 2 different companies but working together. Whatever the situation is, the website seems to be exactly the same as Shaws.com was, with the only exception – its name is different. So, pretty much exactly as with the previous company – this is a supermarket company with different stores (and according to google total number of locations: 185). The company is believed to be founded in 1899 in Chicago, Illinois, United States, or at least that’s the information that I could find according to google. This Jewel-Osco company has Applications which people can find on both their Android or iOS phones with applications specifically about the pharmacy as well. The headquarters is located in Itasca, Illinois, United States and the president of this company is currently Doug Cygan. The company has social pages on Twitter and Instagram, but seemingly doesn’t have on Facebook. I am not sure how many of those 185 locations are pharmacies or maybe each of that location has its own pharmacy but whatever the case, you can either go to one of their stores in person and get the medications that you need, or you could order the medications online as it seems from this website that they do offer shipping.
Selection of medications and prices on Jewel-Osco
While I’ve searched for pharmaceutical products on the website I remembered that the last time when I’ve tried to do it I couldn’t find anything. That’s why there is no information about prices and selection of medications but if I had to guess I would say this: the selection of medications should be a lot with them having nearly all types and sorts of medications; the prices should be around the same you can find at any given brick store like Walmart or others; the pharmacy is surely requiring their customers to show a valid prescription since this is a – brick store where you can go yourself and get whatever you need.

They are offering medications only in the US territory and they are having a single shipping method: regular. Or as I said earlier, you can get yourself those medications by going to one of their stores. In regards to the payment options, of course is cash if you decide to go yourself. I assume they should accept credit and debit cards, however I am not sure if there are other payment methods.

This is a big company with a lot of locations so it is obvious that getting in touch with these people should be extremely easy. I guess there is no need that you can find multiple phone numbers which you can use to talk with them in case you have questions. Except for that you can also write them email, find them on social media pages and so on and so forth or even, again, go yourself to their stores and talk.

Save with online coupons is what I could find on their website so, seemingly, they do offer coupon codes. The problem here is the fact that I couldn’t find any pharmaceutical products but only products you can find in the supermarket. Either they do not have coupon codes for pharmaceutical products or simply I couldn’t find them myself, I am not very sure. Except for those coupon codes I wasn’t able to find anything else to make you save some money.

According to yelp.com, there are 110 reviews about jewel-osco both drugstore and grocery. The *not so good thing* is that its total rate out of those 110 review is 2 out of 5 meaning that there are a lot of people who are not very happy with its services. Lots of people complained on the fact that their employees are rude, some of them said that prices for medication at Walgreens are lower, other said that they were staying too much time in line and other things. A woman said that they provide the worst customer service. Nevertheless, there were happy customers as well. But I cannot make a conclusion myself and the only conclusion I can make it is based on the customer reviews.
Conclusion
Due to the fact that there are so many customer reviews that are negative I am going to say that the services of this company lack a lot with big problems. Plus to that it seems that the prices aren’t the best either. And since there are 2 major problems I can guess that 2 stars out of 5 should be removed and therefore JewelOsco pharmacy gets a rate of 3 out of 5 from me.
