How to take Nexium

  • Long-term therapy in patients who had peptic ulcer bleeding (adults): 40 mg once daily for 30 days.
  • Treatment of gastric ulcers associated with long-term use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (adults): 20 or 40 mg once daily for 1-2 months.
  • Prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcers associated with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs: 20 or 40 mg once a day.
  • Pathological hypersecretion, including Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: initial dose – 40 mg 2 times daily. The duration of the course is determined by your doctor.
