What is Metrogel?

Metrogel pharmacologic effect
The drug has anti-acne effect. It significantly reduces the production of active oxygen by neutrophils, which are potent oxidants able to cause tissue damage.

Metrogel dosing regimen

Long-term use may lead to resorption of metronidazole and systemic side effects, so the drug should be used with caution in patients with impairment of hematopoiesis. The drug should be stopped immediately in case of local reactions.
